Best of all the colors of the claw clips can change to match the season. Go with a red, green, blue, or silver in December. Try lavender or yellow for spring, and denim blues and natural tones in summer. When autumn arrives, you won’t go wrong with gem tones, browns, and fall themes.

And when you shop for hair clips like ours at TELETIES, you’ll find prints and patterns, or color combinations to match each season. If you’re ready to fall in love with your new favorite long hair, hair clip hairstyle, here’s how to do the classic-braid, claw clip, French twist.

You will need:

  • A hair brush
  • One hair tie
  • A jumbo or large claw clip depending on the thickness and length of your hair

To do this style:

  1. Brush your hair to remove knots and tangles.
  2. Pull your hair back but leave two somewhat thick sections from each side of your hair, about 1 inch, at the height of your temples out.
  3. Secure the back of your hair in the hair tie.
  4. On one side, split the section of hair into three equal section and do a classic braid by:
    1. Weaving the right side over the middle so it becomes the middle section.
    2. Weaving the left side over the middle so it now becomes the middle section.
  5. Continue braiding until you get towards the back of your head and tuck the remaining portion into the hair tie.
  6. Now repeat on the other side and when you get to the base, remove the hair tie and hold the back section and bottom of the two braids together so you have a low ponytail.
  7. With the other hand, take two fingers and grab the end of the ponytail and begin twisting it so it forms a coil.
  8. Once the coil is formed but isn’t bending in, fold it against your head and secure it in the claw clip.
Optional: Spritz with a light hairspray to prevent flyaways.

And that’s it. It’s a spin on the classic French twist hairstyle that has texture, movement, and works year round for long hair.
